 Your financial gift allows you and your family to become a part of our outreach ministry 

We at Hood Church are passionate about our street outreach ministry we understand that transportation is a challenge for the homeless community. Knowing this, we take our outreach efforts to where they are needed most, under bridges, homeless encampments, shelters, etc. Our outreach ministry does more than provide food, clothing and hygiene products. We check the general health and well being of our friends in our community who are experiencing homelessness. With Hood Church the love of Jesus Christ goes a long way.

One care package is estimated to cost

• $5.00  per person, we estimate distributing 100 care packages per month to people in need in our community.
• Your donation of $50 will help support 10 people in need this month.

 CARE PACKAGES.

We like to bring care packages called hope bags. These hope bags consist of all kinds of non-perishable, non expired items like Vienna sausages, small canned beans with finger open tops, candy items, individual coffee packs, dried fruit, and any other assorted products that can be given as food and won’t spoil, trail mix, cup of soup preferably but we can use Ramen noodles, crackers, and every assorted snack you can find. Plastic spoons, knives and forks, paper towels, hand sanitizer, face mask, elastic gloves for handling food and boxes of one gallon zip lock bags are also needed.

please note that we will always need water bottles.

No microwavable food please. 

HYGENE CARE PACKAGES 

We also distribute basic Hygiene Items, these include toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, deodorant, feminine products and wipes, body spray, lotion, body wash, shavers, shaving foam, combs, baby oil, brushes, shampoo, conditioner, and any other hygiene products not listed here.

 SEASONAL NEEDS 

 During the fall & winter months, we are always in need of gloves, winter socks, winter boots, beanies, hoodies, jackets, flannels, and Long johns. The undergarments must be new and in the package. However everything else we will  accept used. We also need moving blankets, and regular blankets. Hand and feet warmers, 

tarps and sleeping bags. 

During spring & summer months, we will need regular socks,

 clean T-shirts all sizes, body towels, face towels, deodorant, Shorts, we do not accept kids clothing, but we do accept diapers and baby wipes. We normally give out tarps, sleeping mats, blankets, sleeping bags, along with toiletries, Bibles, and reading glasses.
